Taylor Swift's The Best Day spends a second week at number one on Mothers' Day Weekend 2009, which is a very fitting choice, I think. On the other hand, Carrie Underwood's duet version of I Told You So is now officially the most popular song of 2009 in the land so far.

At the movies this week, Star Trek debuted at number one this week, displacing The Boy in the Stripped Pyjamas. Looking at the whole year, Confessions of a Shopaholic is still at the top in the box office.

The Jenien Idol Fan Club's last selection for American Idol favourite, Allison Iraheta, has been booted from the show. They have narrowly elected Danny Gokey to replace her, and Adam Lambert as second fav.

With her latest hit The Best Days of Your Life, the Vote For The Worst candidate for American Idol 2006 is now Number One on the official BigFamily Radio Recommendations Chart! This is her first number one too. She has totally transformed from clown-idol to big time singer. Meanwhile another one of Allison Iraheta's performances, Don't Wanna Miss a Thing, has entered the chart at number two.

In other entertainment news, Taylor Swift is now considered the best all-round package entertainer. This was once Britney's place - sadly she is all out of form at the moment.
